2027 ADHD Bowling Tournament Rules

The 2027 ADHD Bowling Tournament will take place on Saturday, April 3rd, and Sunday, April 4th, at Sam’s Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas, NV.

A. Sanctioning

· The 2027 ADHD Bowling Tournament is a USBC certified event. Certification Number (xxxxx).

· ADHD is a proud member of the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO).

· All participants must hold a current USBC membership.

· All entrants must also be an IGBO member for the 2026/2027 season, which applies to any bowler who has participated in an IGBO-sanctioned league. Non-IGBO members must obtain an IGBO Associate membership or pay the IGBO Associate Membership Fee of $30 to join. This fee must be paid online after registering for the ADHD Bowling Tournament via the link provided at the bottom of this page.

B. Event Participation

· ADHD entrants are required to have a current USBC membership card. Those who are not current must purchase a card at the current rate. Participants must be an IGBO member or bowl in an IGBO-sanctioned league, and non-IGBO members will need to purchase a membership prior to the tournament to avoid disqualification.

· This bowling event is by invitation only, and entries can be denied.

· The tournament will feature handicap doubles events, specifically:

o  4 games on Saturday, April 3 @ 1pm

o  4 games on Sunday, April 4 @ 10am

· Each participant will bowl 4 games, switching pairs after 2 games (Lanes 1-2 swap with 3-4, 5-6 with 7-8, etc.).

· Teams will be comprised of 2 members in any combination of men and women, ensuring all participants compete on an equal basis regardless of gender identity.

· Professional bowlers can take part in the ADHD Bowling Tournament, but each team is limited to one (1) professional bowler.

o  A professional bowler is defined as anyone who has been or is a member of the PBA/PWBA and has won a title (national or regional) within the past 5 years, and they must identify themselves as such upon check-in.

C. Awards and Prizes

· All cash awards will be determined based on total pins plus assigned handicaps for each event, excluding optional events described under Entry Fees.

· In the event of a tie for any position, tied positions will have their prize sums combined and divided equally among the participants.

· Prizes will be distributed through 1) Zelle or 2) check payable in US currency within thirty (30) days after the tournament concludes, pending no protests.

D. Entering Averages

· Bowlers entering the ADHD Bowling Tournament must possess an established ten-pin average that is acceptable to USBC.

· The following guidelines will determine the entering average:

o  The bowler’s 2025-2026 composite single league average will be used unless the bowler’s IGBO TAD during March 20, 2026, to March 20, 2027, with a minimum of 18 games is higher, in which case the IGBO TAD is used.

o  If neither is applicable, the bowler’s 2024-2025 USBC composite average will be taken.

o  Averages from summer leagues in 2026 will not be considered unless none of the above are available. If that’s the case, the highest August 21 average with a minimum of 21 games will be used.

o  Sport bowling league averages are acceptable, using the USBC sport bowling average conversion chart if none of the prior averages are available.

o  If no averages are accessible, the entering average will default to 220.

o  The Tournament Director has the final say on which average will be used and reserves the right to rerate any bowler. If a bowler has been rerated in a previous tournament, they must inform the tournament director. Failure to disclose a rerate will result in disqualification and loss of entry fees.

· The above averages must be verified by one of the following documents:

o  Bowl.com average verification

o  League Secretary.com

o  League standing sheet from the league secretary

o  IGBO TAD

· The handicap for the tournament will be calculated as 90% of the difference between the bowler’s entering average and a scratch score of 220. Negative handicaps will not apply.

E. Attendance and Substitutes

· Bowler presence at the assigned lanes during bowling is entirely the responsibility of the participant.

· Late bowlers will start in the frame when they are ready, with previous frames receiving a score of zero. No practice shots will be permitted for late participants.

· Substitutes may bowl at the discretion of the Tournament Director, but their entering averages must meet ADHD Bowling Tournament rules.

F. Entry Requirements

· The entry fee for the ADHD Bowling Tournament is $125.00.

· Entries must be completed online. The entry fee can be processed via PayPal and must be submitted by no later than March 20th, 2027. A $20 late fee will be assessed for entries made after March 6th, 2027.

· Registration will close at 11:59pm on March 20th, 2027.

· Entries are capped at a maximum of 108 teams/216 bowlers. Once this limit is reached, no additional entries will be accepted.

· Accepted entries must include all required information and full payment.

· The entry is non-refundable unless the tournament sells out.

· Bowlers with “free entry” certificates should indicate this on their online entry and present the certificate prior to payment.

o  Free entry certificates must be redeemed by March 20th, 2027. Failure to do so will render them void.

o  No refunds will be provided for bowlers failing to present their free entry.

G. Entry Fees and Prize Distribution

· Lineage - $28.00 ($3.50/game)

· Expenses - $20.00 (includes IGBO fee, tournament supplies, PayPal fees)

· Prize Fund - $77.00 (detailed breakdown below)

· Prize fund distribution (Payout ratio 1:5):

o  Day 1 - ($25.00 per bowler)

o  Day 2 - ($25.00 per bowler)

o  Overall - ($27.00 per bowler)

· Optional Events and Costs (Payback 100% - Payout ratio of 1:8):

o  Optional Handicap Singles ($50)

o  Optional Senior Singles ($50)

o  Optional Scratch Singles ($50)

§ Optional Singles Prize Fund Breakdown:

o  Day 1 - $15

o  Day 2 - $15

o  Overall - $20

H. Protests

· Any errors or disputes must be submitted to tournament management in writing within seventy-two (72) hours. The protesting bowler(s) and the Tournament Director will resolve the issue according to ADHD and USBC Tournament Rules. Management's decision will be final unless a written appeal is filed with USBC Headquarters within the designated time limits set by USBC Rule 329.

I. General

· Any attendee requiring special assistance at the ADHD Bowling Tournament should notify the Tournament Director in writing ahead of the event.

· All attendees of the ADHD Bowling Tournament give consent to having photos/videos shared on social media during the event.

· The maximum possible score with handicap shall be 300 per game and 1200 for the series.

K. Schedule of Events

· Saturday, April 3rd, 9am – 12pm Registration

· Saturday, April 3rd, 1pm – 5pm Day 1 Doubles (4 games)

· Sunday, April 4th, 10am – 2pm Day 2 Doubles (4 games)
